I’m using Oracle VirtualBox while I’m studying Linux SysAdmin. It’s an application that allows your current OS to host others. You have to download and install an OS into the Virtual Machine to use it.
I’m sharing a Windows laptop with my children so I have to use a Virtual Machine to learn Ubuntu OS. I’m happy with the experience of practicing Linux OS via the Virtual Machine.
Use YouTube tutorials to guide you step by step. It’s fun to see Linux OS active on a screen. I highly recommend using a Virtual Machine to test out any Linux OS although my favorite is definitely Ubuntu.
