Starting a LinkedIn account can feel intimidating but take a look at any educational and organizational memberships you have achieved so far. Don’t worry about people calling themselves CEOs or Founders when all you have to do is join professional groups online.
Updating your LinkedIn profile with your memberships adds a more professional touch to your account. If you are not a billionaire CEO, your LinkedIn can still display all your efforts and activities in the tech field. Examples of these are joining RStats, PyLadies, Women Who Code, Python Software Foundation, GitHub (or others) and you may add it to “Organizations.”
The resume option on LinkedIn can help you download a pdf of your profile. It may need a little editing but looks quite good especially if you are anxious about the appearance of your resume.
